  • Wrote the officer application and recruited a seven-member executive board.
  • Oversee event planning, the budget, and membership.
  • Work with TEDx officials to navigate the event guidelines and the license approval process.

Before that

Board officer, eleventh grade. Reviewed and selected student speaker applications, held weekly meetings to help speakers refine their talks (an hour a week for nine weeks before each event), and ran the social media that promoted them.

Member, ninth to eleventh grade. Researched, identified, and recruited adult speakers, about four hours per event, and handled day-of operations — technical issues and hospitality.
